Behaviour Consulting at Kismet Learning Centre focuses on supporting children and families through individualized, evidence-based behaviour support.
Our Behaviour Consultants work collaboratively with families and our multidisciplinary team to develop practical strategies that support meaningful skill development across daily routines.
Behaviour Consulting may support:
Communication and social skills
Emotional regulation and coping strategies
Functional play and learning skills
Daily living routines (e.g., transitions, independence)
Parent coaching and caregiver support
School readiness and collaboration with other professionals
Behaviour Consultants complete comprehensive assessments, develop individualized support plans, and provide ongoing supervision to ensure consistency and progress across environments.

Behaviour Intervention services at Kismet Learning Centre are delivered by trained Behaviour Interventionists (BIs) under the supervision of a Behaviour Consultant.
Sessions are child-led, relationship-focused, and goal-driven, with an emphasis on building skills through play and everyday activities.
Our Behaviour Interventionists work closely with Behaviour Consultants and, when appropriate, collaborate with our Occupational Therapist to ensure strategies are aligned and supportive of each child’s overall development.
Behaviour Intervention sessions may focus on:
Building engagement and learning readiness
Communication and social interaction
Emotional regulation skills
Functional play and daily living skills
Generalizing skills across home, clinic, and community settings
Intervention is individualized and responsive, with goals updated regularly based on progress and family priorities.

Occupational Therapy at Kismet Learning Centre focuses on supporting children’s ability to engage in meaningful daily activities at home, school, and in the community.
Our OT services are designed to be child-centered, strengths-based, and collaborative, working closely with families and our behaviour team to ensure consistent, holistic support.
Occupational Therapy may support children with:
Fine motor skills (e.g., grasping, writing, cutting)
Sensory processing and regulation
Self-care skills (e.g., dressing, feeding, toileting routines)
Emotional regulation and coping skills
Play skills and participation in daily routines
School readiness and classroom participation
Services are individualized based on each child’s unique strengths, needs, and goals.
